Usage

Stairway meters compute (how long your browsers run) and bandwidth (network traffic through those sessions). Use these numbers for visibility and planning; billing details come from your account team.

You can review usage in two places: live charts on the Dashboard, and a 30-day table plus CSV export under Settings.

On the Dashboard

Open Dashboard. At the top, Your usage shows:

  • Range chips: 24h, 7d, 30d, 90d
  • Granularity: daily or hourly
  • KPI cards: total compute, billable ratio, bandwidth (in + out), and ingress/egress split
  • Charts for compute vs billable time and for bandwidth over the window
  • An egress bandwidth map summarizing traffic by exit location

Use this view for a quick read of recent activity and cost drivers (long-running sessions, parallel browsers, heavy downloads).

In Settings

Open Account → Settings and scroll to Compute usage:

  • Fixed last 30 days summary (total, billable, bandwidth)
  • A daily breakdown table
  • Download CSV for offline review

Nearby, Activity log can export a separate CSV of account events (opens, pauses, resumes, deletes, sign-ins, and similar) — useful when you need an audit-style trail rather than aggregate meters.

How to read billable vs total

  • Total (compute) — wall-clock session presence as measured by the platform.
  • Billable — the portion treated as active compute after idle time before auto-sleep and startup/shutdown overhead are excluded.
  • Bandwidth — session network traffic (received + sent), including traffic via your chosen geographic egress.

Sleep or delete sessions you no longer need so they stop accumulating compute. Idle auto-sleep already trims billable time when no viewer is attached; see Browser configuration.

Teams

If you attribute sessions to a team or share browsers with teammates, team-level usage may appear for team owners or admins when your organization enables it. Your personal Dashboard and Settings views always reflect your meters.
